It gives a strong bitter-sweetness and brisk taste with a unique aroma so-called traditional firing techniques ‘Sayama Hiire’ (Sayama’s firing aroma).
This heating process generates the specific flavorful aroma as well as increases the tea flavor. The name “Honoka” which we named comes from its flame-like strong aroma.
It has full-bodied, rich and has a strong impacted taste.
Perfect pair with some baked sweets as well as rice dishs.

Sayama sencha Kuki Honoka is a rough finished (Aracha shiage) with more stems mixed in than regular Honoka. Still It has a powerful aroma and taste, and you can also enjoy the fresh aroma and sweetness of stems.
